It is from two collections of photographs for books by Hans Silvester that the curator, also renowned photographer, Alain Gualina set up this large open exhibition throughout the city center of Manosque.
After a judicious selection of images, Alain Gualina created an urban scenography well suited to the town of Manosque. The prints, high quality, on canvas (for hanging banners or as protection around trees) and on self-adhesive paper (for street furniture and city displays). The pictures are present everywhere, in the squares, on the boulevards, in the car parks and on the garden railings, right up to the center of the old town. A real success.
For the photographs of the film “Le Hussard sur le Toit” by Jean Paul Rappeneau, they are a real incentive to lead walkers to Jean Giono’s house or to the Carzou Foundation to admire all the museum prints.
Then, there is this new collection on “scarecrows” across the World which will be the subject of a book to be published in September. A real pleasure to stroll through this legendary city.
