Spirit (s) of the places at the Château de Fontainebleau
Author-photographer since 2010, despite my retirement age, I consider myself an apprentice. And each project is a new way to go further.
These photos are taken from the exhibition catalog “Spirit (s) of the places at the Château de Fontainebleau”
Two couples of dancers contributed with their proposals to breathe life into the vast interior spaces of the Château de Fontainebleau. Each couple, each dancer, with their personality, their generosity, their style, their art, their spirit.
The shots were taken without flash or additional light.
For me, a particular photographic challenge in this heritage place called “the home of kings”, inhabited by history, the arts, and architecture: to capture the confrontation of bodies with the decor, to multiply the points of view to build a vision.
This series is in line with my work as a photographer on movement on the one hand, and on how humans invest the places where they move on the other.
