Gosette Lubondo : Earth of Milk Earth of Honey

Preview

A few months ago, I received the latest work of Gosette Lubondo. It’s superb, superb for the result obtained, superb for the evolution of her work.

This contemporary creator operates from an increasingly perfect mastery of her tools of expression. Her research remains very oriented on historical paths and the gap that is widening between the temporal obsolescence of memory and the permanence of transmission.

The representativeness of her photographic work takes a new major step. The descriptive and didactic part often represented by a ghostly superimposition gives way to a more organized and poetic control of light. The subject treated in several pictures (a bit of the fashion of the moment!) is in millimeter coherence. The image no longer talks about appearances, a set of images becomes the ghost, totally invisible and yet so present. The decor, the models, the atmosphere, the composition, the scales fully participate to this invisible that challenges us.

This last creative step of Gosette is truly remarkable for its provocative result of originalities. Moreover, the fact that this young author seems preserved from the big headed with oversized egos, gives us a glimpse of beautiful things in the making.

This new collection, along with the previous ones, can be found at the Chateau d’Eau in Toulouse until December 31, 2022.

Some of these latest works will also be visible in Paris, on the Galerie Angalia stand (C 14), during AKAA 2022.
