Veiled memories
When « making » these pictures I had the clear feeling that I had been already visiting these places, walking there, living those moments, I couldn’t say when , couldn’t say why but we all know we sometimes feel we have already experienced moments, seen places and persons even if it is the first time you happen to be somewhere or see somebody. I knew I had already been there in another time, walking by the rue des Nonnains d’Hyeres, rue de Fourcy on my way from Île Saint-Louis to Place des Vosges, Parisian Marais narrow streets, wandering about the Malecon in La Habana and many more places.
These images, lights and shadows hid already deep inside me, mutating in my mind. They show what I had and have felt and not only what I was seeing and « finding » again.
