Galerie Parallax : Est-ce qu’une pomme ça bouge ?

Preview

Inspired by Paul Cézanne, the exhibition « Est-ce qu’une pomme ça bouge ? » (“Does an Apple Move?”) at the Galerie Parallax explores the notion of permanence and essence in art. By asking his models to pose “like an apple,” Cézanne sought to capture a timeless image, to capture the profound nature of things rather than their fleeting appearance.

Contemporary photographers are taking up this idea by using the apple as a symbol a simple yet meaningful object to question perception, time, and memory.

Collective exhibition: Alfons Alt, Jean Bernard, Murile Biraghi, Pascal Bonneau, Denis Brohat, Claire Dias Lachèse, Olivier Diaz de Zarate, Cesare Di Liborio, Kati Dovellos, Irène Jonas, Dara Krotova, Estelle Lagarde and Jean-Pierre Sudre
