Bigaignon presents Thomas Paquet’s new solo exhibition entitled “Oh Light!”, on view at the gallery until May 31, 2025.
The “Oh Light!” exhibition delves into the essence of light, uncovering its intricate nuances through a series of experiments in which the artist reimagines traditional darkroom techniques.
Thomas Paquet began these photographic explorations during his 2023 residency at “Picto Lab / expérimenter l’image”. In the darkroom, light itself became his primary subject of experimentation. Paquet chose to repurpose conventional tools in a way that would expose the full spectrum of light’s subtle qualities. While a portion of this series was previously showcased at the Approche fair in November 2023, “Oh Light!” presents these works in their final, fully realized form for the first time, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into the artist’s vibrant, colorful and sensitive world.
