Frank Gohlke, Professor of Photography at the University of Arizona, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to do photography in Kazakhstan during the 2013-2014 academic year, the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announced recently. Gohlke will explore the wild apple forests around Almaty, unique in the world, in southeast Kazakhstan and document their appearance and current condition.
