fotofever, the first international fair dedicated to photography collecting, will present 9 international galleries and publishers at the 12th edition of Art Up !, from February 28 to March 3, 2019 at Lille Grand Palais.
This year, the Lille contemporary art fair invites its 107 exhibitors and 38 000 visitors to explore the theme “Photography, at the heart of today’s artistic creations”.
For the occasion, Art Up! welcomes for the first time fotofever with the will to introduce the visitors to photography collecting.
With this initiative, fotofever offers a complementary opportunity for its partner galleries to develop their contacts with a new audience of contemporary art lovers and sophisticated collectors (Hauts-de-France region and Eurométropole).
In a space of 400 m2 located in the heart of the fair, fotofever will present 9 galleries and international publishers who exhibit the works of 25 artists from 8 countries.
Finally, fotofever continues to develop its initiation program to the START TO COLLECT through:
- A selection of START TO COLLECT works for less than 1000 €
- The Collector’s Lounge: a variation of the iconic “Collector’s Apartment” by fotofever paris, the Collector’s Lounge presents a selection of works in a furnished space, in partnership with Roche Bobois.
- A Program of talks: Every day visitors to the show will be able to participate in discussions about the photographic medium and its collecting.
Since its creation in 2011, FOTOFEVER, the first international fair dedicated to photography collecting amateurs, collectors, artists, gallerists and other art professionals to discover contemporary photographic creation.
Driven by its ambition to bring an ever larger audience to collect, fotofever has created the START TO COLLECT program, which has become the reference for the introduction to photography collecting.
