The one who wears the garment, and removes it from an armchair or a bed, leaves this hollow form of her body, a moult, which the light of photography and the most intense color come to hug, to carve.
We imagine the perfumes related to this body, its heat and its secrets. Return the garment to capture the carnal, intimate impression: that which touches the body as close as possible, far from the eyes, outward glances and provoke the emotion that the movement of the tissues in the space of photography excites.
I realized The Invisible Chamber after a long journey to the southern countries, mainly Morocco, homeland. This series of photographs taken indoors, illuminated by the light of the sun, pursues an obsession of the touch by the look, like a call towards the spectator which appears throughout my photographic series and which gave later the title of the Touch Earth series.
The linings of old clothes on the armchair reveal in their folds and breaks, the imprint of a female body, reminiscent of childhood, between abandonment, enjoyment and suffering.
