Street Walker is a limited edition book taking us on a journey through the vibrant streets of America in the 1970s and 1980s with the evocative, candid, and eclectic photographs of renowned photographer Meryl Meisler. Inspired by the works of Diane Arbus, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Brassaï, and her father Jack Meisler’s family albums, Meryl Meisler began her photographic journey in the 1970s. Meisler’s artistic approach blends elements of documentary and street photography, characterized by a playful yet insightful perspective. Her work often explores themes of identity, community, and the interplay between public and private life. Throughout her career, Meisler has maintained a unique ability to capture spontaneous and candid moments.
