Vivian Maier was a relatively unknown name until about a decade ago. It probably was not for the children she took care of in the 50s and 60s between Chicago and New York. But, thanks to a series of happy coincidences, Vivian Maier is today one of the most famous and most beloved names of contemporary photography.
