Photojournalist and Magnum Agency member, child of emigrants from Brittany, Guy Le Querrec traveled to the ends of the Earth for his work. At the Musée de Bretagne in Rennes, France Guy Le Querrec offers both an emotional and distanced view of the Breton society. From 1965 to 1980, he took more than 5,000 shots in his territory of origin, between Morbihan and that which was called Côtes-du-Nord, confirming his being made “the eye of Brittany.” The exhibited photographs focus on daily, family and working life, testifying to his attachment to the region, all while revealing territorial and demographic changes that Brittany has experienced to this day.
