Drouot : Photographs for all

Since 2012 the Department of Photography an innovative concept of auction sales aimed at a generation of young collectors. Entitled “Photographs For All” this biennial event offers 500 lots of photographs from the 19^th and 20^th centuries from 40€. For this 7^th event, the expert Christophe Goeury has chosen to put the spotlight on amateur photography.
Anonymous photos, family photos, failed images, domestic icons, stereoscopic views… Photographs “just good enough”…by their framing, their meaning, their light, their subject. Images where  meet the poetry of a look, the humour of a situation, a memory or the strength of transmission. While the month of  photography is in full swing in November in Paris, the sale “I, you, he, we, you…Amateur Photographers…” renew with  these intimate moments.
