The book, Dior Couture, is a portfolio of over one hundred iconic gowns covering the entire era of Christian Dior haute couture, including dresses designed by Dior himself and those of his successors, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, and John Galliano. Each of the photographs were shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Made in settings that include a movie studio in Beijing, Times Square in New York and, in Paris in venues such as a private château, the Opéra Garnier , the avenue Montaigne, and at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée.The stunning gowns—vintage and contemporary were shot with models , Natalia Vodianova, Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova, Karlie Kloss, Gemma Ward, Agyness Deyn, Caroline Trentini, and actress Charlize Theron.

The images are accompanied by a text by Ingrid Sischy and a foreword by Jeff Koons.
