Simon Procter is a British fashion and advertising photographer who specializes in large, panoramic photographs inspired by painting. He has contributed to magazines like <em<V, Vogue Japan, Harper’s Bazaar, Stiletto and the New York Times Magazine. Procter’s great love of horses led him to take the Republican Guard’s official photograph. His vision of Deauville is also panoramic, with a special focus on equestrian world: photographs of horses at the starting line, a training session on a beach, and the world-famous yearlings auctions. During his days-long residency in Deauville, Procter produced three large-format prints.
Simon Procter was born in 1968 in Lancashire, northern England. He studied painting and sculpture. He started photographing in 2005 and was soon noticed for his work on an ad campaign for Nike. He now lives between Paris and New York.
