My name is Maria. I am from Russia. I was born in Tyuman, it is the capital of Siberia. All my life I wanted to have a foreign education. I have chosen to be a photographer because I believe that on this road I can improve myself and the world. My project in Deauville is about children. I asked them how they see themselves in the future, what kind of dreams they have and after, I made the portraits of these young people one by one. It is very interesting because I saw how different they are; everyone has individuality. Now I have 26 portraits and 26 pieces of paper where they have written their future. I would like to come back here after 15 years and ask them what they have done and how many dreams they have realized. I hope all of them. I decided to make black and white photos because it is a good way to show emotions and concentrate on the faces of the models.
