Massimo Vitali was born In Como Italy in 1944 he started photographing beaches in 1994, first those near his house in Tuscany. Massimo Vitale photographs urban beaches and rarely wild beaches, what he likes is the interaction between the city and the leisure park that is the beach.
The photographer that could also be an anthropologist, or a sociologist has a space of choice with the beach in Deauville, for its reputation , but also for the cultural and social mix. His point of view is to photograph from the sea with a tripod that can be 7 meters high in a way he sends back the beach goers toward the town.
