It is a favorite of the editorial staff, David Saxe sent us his series Morocco with this text.
As a photographer, whenever I visit a new place, I always look for the one thing, that unique vibe, which really makes it special. Although Morocco is a modern society, for many reasons, there were still many segments of this society that have kept one foot firmly fixed to the past. This is what I noticed immediately and what initially excited me. What I saw, what I felt and what I photographed were people at work, people at rest, and at play—the tranquil scenes of daily life which have changed little over many centuries.
