David Constantin, Oh Oh

Preview

Born August 16, 1977 in Albertville, a commune of Savoie, David Constantin lives and works in Grenoble. Self-taught, photography very quickly took a major role in his life. Behind the fresh eye of his lens, he discovered a new world. What had been a daily landscape became a suitable territory to study, revealed by the filter of light.

The desire to share that which became a necessary practice to his very existence quickly drove him to take steps towards exhibiting  to reveal the fruits of his experimenting.

From an academic literary education, his strong partiality for language and words little by little has influenced his way of investing in photography. A picture takes on the value of a word or nominal group, and, put together, the photographs are the material of a narrative.

This photographic writing draws inspiration from Italian literature with Dante for the composition of “Les Brumes, territoire d’incertitude”, 2012, to Jacques Prévert for the visualizing of the poem “Le jardin”, 2014.
