Architecture of Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik
On the occasion of 150 years of Jože Plečnik’s birth, I would like to highlight his masterful architecture and design. He is known for his extraordinary urban human-centered design, and interventions, which respect the existing surroundings and architecture. He predominantly contributed his creations in the city of Ljubljana between the two world wars and worked also in Prague and Vienna. His work is placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. I am focusing on the details, unique architectural language, and timelessness of his work in this series.
