Why do we photograph our back? Where does this desire come from? This photographic adventure was born after a self-portrait where we only see my back. Could we then speak of ” back selfie”? This experimental approach to photography from behind, my photographic camera at arm’s length, prompted me to begin a reflection on photography and the relationship it allows to establish with the body: my body and that of others. Hence the title of my book “Vu (es) de dos. Photography – space of identity and creation.” (Paris, L’Harmattan, 2016).
