Thomas Pesquet posted on social networks this fantastic photo of Paris taken from the International Space Station (ISS) at an altitude of 400 km; it is accompanied by this text on his Flickr account:
“Paris under the sun” – I haven’t had much time yet to take photos of Earth as I have been busy and I need to readapt to microgravity. Also the International Space Station is different from the last time I was here during the Proxima mission in 2017: there are more people and it is more complex, and only going to get more so. However we flew directly over Paris recently, the capital of France, and Soichi had setup the cameras already so I managed to snap this quick shot. Check out the shadows on the Eiffel Tower!” – Thomas Pesquet
