Everything is calm
Sensitive to this shift between the intimate and the real, my work asserts itself as a connecting surface between my inner world and the outer world. The act of photography offers me a space of freedom in which to show what I am not saying.
I am not looking for an immediate explanation when I photograph: through the framing I fragment the space and the bodies, I collect the singular details that surround me, attentive to this aesthetic of the “fragile”, of the imperceptible.
The photographs of “Everything is calm”, like the rest of my work, do not work in series, but rather form a vibrant visual murmur of shapes and materials, softness and roughness in black and white enveloping the gaze.
