Claude Guillaumin chose the Eye of Photography to sell some prints in limited editions of his most beautiful nudes!
He accompanies them with this text:
“I started working for fashion magazines in NY in 1969. I quickly discovered that I was more attracted to the beauty of women than to fashion, hence a natural specialization for editorial topics on beauty: shape, lifestyle, body, makeup, hairstyle…
During nude sessions, I was able to see that women have a desire for seduction, sometimes a need to reassure themselves about their physique, thus controlling their image and their sexuality, and always finding themselves desirable.
Comment from a model: “Looking at photos and thinking they are beautiful, then realizing it’s me in the photos.”
Many women pose above all for themselves, for fun, for therapy, or for real pleasure.”
