This series embarks us on a deep-rooted journey into the human being. It explores the everyday stories about the human body and lifts the veil on some of the convictions based on anatomy studies. The Modern Spirit is Vivisective is conceived like a cabinet of wonders: it is a strange combination of old locally made photographs of laboratory operators and students in anatomy, of illustrations from Renaissance manuals, of science and philosophy excerpts, and of photographs taken by the artist. The name of this series was inspired by Stephen Hero, a modernist manifesto written by a young James Joyce.
