These are samples from my new series Concrete Timewarp.
It is through the lense of my camera that I take a reality and make it my own. This is simply what I do as a artist and why I especially favor using photography as a artistic medium. I am not a photographer in the traditional sense as someone that captures reality exactly as it is, but I shift reality in small to large degrees to tell a story or to portrait concepts I want to achieve as an artist.
This concept may sound simple but I see this concept as the base for how I see myself working in this medium. Most importantly I think this is purest way for me to show the world how I see things. Not by trying to capture reality itself which I think is an impossible thing but portraying reality as I view it with my camera and how in my mind I actually perceive that moment of reality.
My work is diverse and cohesive in that the work is tied together by this basic concept.
