Within the world’s endless breath
We always make the same images.
This sentence, heard years ago, has lingered in me like a quiet, persistent echo.
It awakened the need to travel through nearly twenty years of archives — to return to my inner geographies.
My photographs carry the gaze of a child who longed to leave.
Within the World’s Endless Breath is a deeply intimate exploration of departure — as a founding impulse and as the perpetual movement of life itself.
These (always the same) images — what obsesses and repeats — trace what displacement leaves in its wake: solitudes, losses, and wanderings.
Yet they also capture a connection to the self and to the living world — those moments of contemplation and communion when the breath of the world brushes against us.
From a personal narrative emerges a work that reveals something larger, a story that resonates within us all: a universal fragment of our own vital impulse.
