Magic Hats
I’m particularly fond of autumn, those suspended moments when the light is magical.
The undergrowth behind my house is a magical place. It’s like stepping into another world, the world of elves and fairies.
That’s when I meet my favorite creatures, those magicians of the living world, the mushrooms.
Without them, neither trees, forests nor human beings could exist.
These “magic hats” are in fact the submerged part of an immense underground network of intimate connections between multiple forms of life, both plant and animal.
In this fascinating, hyper-connected world, organisms live in symbiosis, allowing Life to express itself in infinite forms, adapting to external circumstances in ways that are as incredible as they are creative.
So let’s set off together to meet some of these magic hats…and let our imaginations extend this vision to the underground world they shelter.
