The 2017 Leica Oscar Barnack opened its call for applications earlier this month.
The Leica Oskar Barnack Award granted both professional photographers and new talents under the age of 25 (Newcomer category). Participants “must submit a series of ten to twelve images that document the relationship between man and his environment (considered here in the broad sense), with a contemporary, creative and innovative style.
The Leica Oskar Barnack Prize winner will receive25,000 euros. The winner doesn’t go empty-handed, as a Leica M equipment is also granted.
The winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award receives 10,000 euros; as well as the same equipment mentioned.
Application can be done online until the 10th of April. The award will be presented in the spring of 2017.
