A photo-concert was held as part of the festival. Deep South – 1963-65 is a projection of 477 original photographs by Alain Desvergnes, accompanied by a concert from the group Lightnin’Soulstars. This trip through the Mississippi follows in the footsteps of William Faulkner. From 1963 to 1965, fascinated by the work of Faulkner and driven by the desire to understand his world, Desvergnes traveled to Mississippi. His photographs from the era are unaccompanied by twelve original tracks by Lightnin’SoulStars.
