Nocturne 5.0
Nocturnes 5.0 is a poetic voyage through our cities. In these Western cities, large and small, some of them capitals, I tried to capture the things that humanity has been unable to foresee. Beyond fear and solitude, at the heart of these troubled places where the real and its devouring ghosts do battle, my photographs reveal what could qualify as “unexpected beauty”: the unconscious beauty of the architect, of the decorator, of the city planner and the user, a tableau bearing witness to a humanity rejoicing in its accomplishments, to the point of being dispossessed of them.
Jean-Luc Aribaud was born in Mazamet in 1961. He has lived and worked in Toulouse since 1980. His work has been exhibited in France and abroad.
