In the East and Center of Paris for a month of exhibitions, the Biennale de l’Image Tangible presents a selection of works which tend to free themselves from the classic use of the photographic medium.
Whether in search of new media, hybrid techniques or a new relationship with reality, this event tends to demonstrate that photography never stops inventing. In this, the Tangible Image Biennale accompanies the emergence of new languages and new practices linked to photography: a photography which shakes up the hypotheses of reality, a photography which changes nature, form and postulate, and which thus participates in a broadening of the field of its discipline.
The third edition of the Biennale de l’Image Tangible while concentrated on the month of November 2023. Maintains its roots in the East of Paris and settles in the Center and the Marais district.
Its program is structured around an exhibition curated by the organizers of the Biennale, and nine exhibitions bringing together the winning artists of the call for projects (February – May 2023), selected by a jury of professionals from the world of art, image and photography. As well as an Instagram prize, round tables and discussions, and an in situ project in a public space.
