The Artcurial auction house will disseminate the Amedeo M. Turello collection of photographs on Thursday, October 27th. This collection is an ode to women. By bringing together, around a common theme, the images of photographers of different nationalities and epochs, we see unravel the evolution of the status of women in society. The ensemble of works collected reflects his artistic tastes and are witness of the encounters made during his career as a professional fashion photographer. In his collaborations, he frequented the most famous photographers of the 20th century. These are the photographs that he is selling today.
The 200 photos that will be proposed for sale honor feminine beauty, through the works of masters such as Man Ray, Édouard Boubat, Hans Bellmer, Elliott Erwitt, William Klein, Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman, Jean-Loup Sieff or even Jean-Baptiste Mondino… and of young photographers. “Images of strong and independent women, proud and radiant, sensitive and fragile… every shot is a story in itself which embodies the true essence and soul of beauty, sometimes described also with contradictions and contrasts specific to each personality” decrypts Amedeo M.
