About Daryl-Ann Saunders :
Daryl-Ann Saunders began as a self-taught photographer and went on to study at The School of Visual Arts and The International Center of Photography in New York. She worked as a photo editor for two alternative publications and then established herself as an editorial (Forbes, Business Week), corporate (Showtime, Inc., NY Life Insurance) and fine art photographer.
Commercially, Saunders’ expertise is in portrait and architectural photography. Her images have been published worldwide, are exhibited regularly and are in the collections of Pfizer, Inc., General Electric as well as other collections, public and private.
Currently based in New York, specifically in Bushwick, Brooklyn, she has been the recipient of a 2010 “NYC Space for Art residency”, a 2011 Brooklyn Arts Council grant and a 2012 “SPARC artist-residency” to continue work on her ongoing series, “Pioneers of Bushwick”. This is a photo-text project featuring portraits and stories of Bushwick residents. “Urban Orchestra” is also a current project of architectural subject matter.
