James Estrin and David Gonzalez both co-editor, of the Lens Blog are inviting you to apply for the free 2014 edition of the New York Portfolio Review, brought to you by The New York Times Lens Blog and the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. The review will take place April 5th and 6th.
“There will be a very high powered group of leading photo editors, museum curators, book publishers and gallerists.
We know how difficult it is being a photographer these days, and we want to provide an opportunity for a diverse group of photographers to make beneficial connections. We are looking for all kinds of photography from art, to documentary, to photojournalism.
Saturday will be a day of portfolio reviews for photographers 21 years and older. Sunday’s activities will be devoted to young photographers between the age of 18 and 27 and will include portfolio reviews and workshops on subjects like photo editing and legal issues like copyright and access.
It will be held at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism on W. 40th St., next to the Times. More details, and an application form can be found at http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/01/27/photos-fun-and-a-free-lunch/ .
The deadline is February 10th.
Join us.
Best”
