The Big Oak
In the hills around Reggio Emilia there are some very picturesque paths that lead to a tree called “The Big Oak.”
A place that in winter, with nature at its lowest, becomes very fascinating and also a bit mysterious.
The giant tree, which with its tentacles seems to fight against the ruins that surround it, is the great witness of what was, the survivor of the lives and ghosts of the past of this place.
Nature takes back its space and leaves the traces of sad memories of the people who are no longer here today, but who lived so many pages of their lives in this evocative place, now decayed.
