Western Sahara is a territory between Morocco to the north, Algeria to the northeast, Mauritania to the east and south. The Saharawi people have seen in 40 year sits population cut in half. On one hand, the Sahrawis living under Moroccan occupation, on the other more than 150 000 refugees surviving in exile in the free territories and in camps in the Tindouf area of Algeria. It is in a camp among the harshest in the world where Slaka lives. Like all here, Slaka survives, she grew up without ever having set foot in her country but she has grown with the spirit of the struggle. Beyond a fight for a cause, there is also a life time to build, a woman who fights, it is also a woman living. Through Slaka, this story wishes simply to talk about life and exile.
