Two competitions were organized at this year’s Image Festival in partnership with the Darat al Tasweer Gallery and Olympus. The Open Photography Competition was reserved to amateur photographers while the Art Photography competition was open to professionals. On March 26, the awards ceremony was held at the Ras Al Ain Hangar. The jury comprised festival director Charles-Henri Gros, curator Linda Al Khoury and photographer Mohammed Nayef, who selected the winning entries based on four criteria: relevance to the theme, composition, technique and aesthetic quality.
