The Centro Andaluz de la Fotografia was established in 1992 by the Consejería de Cultura y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía (The Ministry of Culture and Sports) to host the photographic archives of the project Imagina, and to promote photography at a national and international level.
In October 2007, the Centro Andaluz de Fotografia moved into the former Liceo of the ancient city of Almeria. Following renovations, the center now features a large 600m2 exhibition hall, rooms for workshops, film and digital photo studios, a library, a projection room, archives, a gift shop and administrative offices.
Pablo Julia has been the director of the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía since 2007. He sat down with the Le Journal to answer a few of our questions.
