Alina Noir (b. 1981) is a Romanian-born photographer, visual artist, and author living and working between Lyon and Berlin. She studied literature and art history in Romania, France, Germany, Sweden, and New Zealand.
Her imagery reinterprets classical themes and narratives, while in the same time depicting human vulnerability and the unpredictability of destiny. She has several projects in progress, among which “The Annunciation”, “Mythologies”, “The Birth of a Poem”, “Moribund Lovers” and “Sleep”.
To date she has been featured and interviewed in various magazines and her photography has been exhibited in select group and solo shows in Paris, Lyon, Berlin, Prague, Potsdam, Geneva.
