AKAA presents original collaborations prepared with their partners.
ellipse art projects presents Atelier Ndokette
ellipse art projects presents the Ellipse Prize, the aim of which is to support emerging artistic scenes, particularly on the African continent, while supporting a collective awareness of our environments thanks to the messages carried out by the artists.
Meet again Ibrahima Ndome, member of the Atelier Ndokette collective, and winner of this first edition of the Ellipse Prize for artists residing in Senegal, at AKAA 2021.
Bonhams, an auction house within the AKAA fair
As part of our ambition to actively participate in the structuring of the market in France, AKAA is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Bonhams auction house. The unprecedented presence of an auction house at a fair shows how strong and buoyant the market is. Above all, it shows that these contemporary scenes have a history, that they are legitimately the continuity of artistic currents preceding them. This is the role played by a structured market made up of galleries, collectors, museums, institutions, foundations, contemporary art fairs and auction houses dedicated to the second market.
The Robert Bollé Endowment Fund presents Fransix Tenda-Lomba
The mission of the Robert Bollé Endowment Fund is to act in favor of the promotion and outreach of contemporary arts and artists from Africa and its diasporas. It supports young creation by exhibiting the work of emerging talents from the African continent and elsewhere. In 2021, the Fund is proud to present a personal exhibition of the Congolese artist Fransix Tenda-Lomba, member of the Kin Art Studio collective in Kinshasa.
This participation in AKAA will be his first exhibition in France.
