29th Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents

From October 3rd to 9th, Bayeux is hosting the 29th edition of the Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award for War Correspondents. A tribute to the work and commitment of great reporters. It is also an opportunity to meet and discuss with the public.

 

Thomas Dworzak, president of the jury for the 29th edition

Caucasus specialist Thomas Dworzak is an internationally renowned war photographer. He has documented a large part of world events since the 1990s. He has been a member of Magnum Photos since 2000, of which he was president from 2017 to 2020. His work has been published in numerous media such as The New Yorker, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, Paris Match, The New York Times Magazine, Time… He won the World Press Photo in 2001 for a reportage in Chechnya.

 

JOURNALISTS SEND YOUR REPORTAGES UNTIL JUNE 7

Photo, radio, television and written press reportages dealing with a conflict situation or a current event concerning the defense of freedoms and democracy must be sent before June 7 for the 2022 selection.
They must have been made between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022, and each compete for an endowment of €7,000.

YOUNG REPORTER AWARD
In 2022: the category concerned is photography. As this is a different category depending on the year, the reportage presented must be produced between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2022.
