The festival Transphotographiques is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Nord[s]: This is the theme of this year’s anniversary edition, chosen by its two curators: Françoise Paviot and Gabriel Bauret. The organization wished to pay tribute to the Northern Region in a large sense, proposing a rich and varied program with around fifty exhibitions scattered around the city of Lille and its surroundings. Considering the fact that the most important photography festivals in France will take place in the southern region of the country, in 2001 the director of the festival Olivier Spillebout, took the opposite direction and created the Transphotographiques in Lille.
