YellowKorner Paris La Hune : La Grande Expo

Preview

This is La Grande Expo : the event through which YellowKorner offers you to discover the new photographic series of talents it supports. For the 2023 edition, it is a real odyssey to which the general public is invited.

Alexandre de Metz, co-founder of YellowKorner, presents the exhibition as follows:

Because photography has been our raison d’être since day one.
Because we are committed to our photographers, from the production of their series in the field to their exhibition. Because we work every day to reveal stories, talents, emotions. We imagined La Grande Expo.

La Grande Expo is the event through which we invite you to discover the new photographic series of talents that we support. For the 2023 edition, it is a real odyssey to which we invite you. But more than the destination, it is the photographer’s gaze of it or its staging that interests us.

Like the very iconic gaze of Franck Bohbot in his series on the United States, which echoes the resolutely retro atmosphere of Ludwig Favre’s New York. Or that of Izuky Pérez who presents his island, Cuba, to us in a wave of colors and nostalgia for the 1950s.

Nostalgia, there is also necessarily a little question in the photographs of Francis Meslet or François Beaurain who, each on their side, cultivate photography empty of any human presence even though they present cinemas and or theatres, places of life par excellence! However, in front of these photographs, nostalgia quickly gives way to curiosity and a new way of thinking about these places. For his part, Alan Schaller, a fan of street photography, always places a human (or an animal) on his photographs but also manages to transform reality: from a situation that is altogether banal, he creates, by the mastering of its composition and black and white, true works of art.

Works of art in the style of a masterpiece, this is, in another genre, what Bernhard Hartmann and JKboy also offer us. The first manages to create a most singular atmosphere for landscapes of Tuscany that have been photographed many times. While the second highlights the grandiose landscapes of Mongolia, a country he fell in love with and whose populations are constantly torn between tradition and modernity.

With much more lightness, Vassilis Pitoulis takes us on a very “sea, sex and sun” atmosphere with models with slender bodies who play with their femininity against a backdrop of palm trees and heavenly beaches. And if you like glamor, it is of course in Paris that you will finally have to take a tour, alongside Arthur Hubert Legrand and the young women who take advantage of the lack of vis-à-vis at the top of the roofs of the capital to indulge in a few evocative poses.

La Grande Expo is above all a choice and proposals for iconoclastic photos. Enter the gallery and look at each of these photos… Let your emotions speak and bring art photography to life with us in what is most beautiful.
