Emanuel von Baeyer Cabinet presents ‘William S. Burroughs & Friends’, an exhibition exploring one of the most influential and groundbreaking American writers of the second half of the 20th century. He was a leading figure in the Beat movement and his dreamlike, post-modern writing reflects his personal experiences as a heroin addict and travels across the globe. He’s best known for Naked Lunch (1959).
The exhibition consists of portraits of the writer and in many cases meeting with other significant writers and artists such as Allen Ginsberg, Francis Bacon, Dennis Hopper and John Waters.
