But who are these mysterious lovebirds appearing in shadow on a romantic picture taken on August 24 in front of the Suquet church in Cannes?
This is what Martin, a German tourist who happened to immortalize the poetic marriage proposal that evening, is trying to find out.
The vacationer and his friends went to the Cité des Festivals and walked around Le Suquet.
“We were waiting in front of the Notre-Dame church and I wanted to take a photo of the building when I saw this couple. At first, they were bothering me because they were in front!”
When the man went down on one knee, “I took some nice photos! Then I forgot about it. For the holidays, I created a photo calendar and I came across it again. With my wife Friederike, we said to ourselves that this couple would surely like to have a souvenir of this moment.”
So the call for witnesses is launched! And Martin advises future (or young) newlyweds to contact him by email at [email protected].
