Jean-Louis Fernandez
Jean-Louis Fernandez has been one of the producers of the Visa pour l’Image evening shows for more than ten years, but he is first and foremost a photographer of the performing arts, fascinated by live performance. Figures such as Wajdi Mouawad, Pina Bausch and Pippo Delbono have let him explore their universe, going from rehearsals to public performances. He has had special access, observing and recording the artists at work, seeing the private individuals behind the scenes as they concentrate, prepare, discuss and find the right state of mind before going on stage. We are delighted to present a brief retrospective of his work, and the venue is ideal: Perpignan’s new theater – the Théâtre de l’Archipel.
