The Istanbul Photography Museum opened its doors on November 20 at the Kadirga Cultural Center, in Fatih. The first of its kind in Turkey, the museum will also serve as a cultural center. To celebrate its opening, two temporary exhibitions will be on display, in addition to the permanent collection.
Situated on a 1,000-square-meter site, The Istanbul Photography Museum aims to support amateur and professional photographers in Turkey. According to officials, the Museum will also serve as a cultural center to develop the art of photography through collections, exhibitions, publications, photography archives, a library, events, projects and lectures.
