Photographer, artistic director, publisher—Arnaud Pyvka is a multi-faceted artist. He has a unique style, taking colorful, head-on, off-center, big-flash photographs, seen in both his personal and professional work.
Pyvka photographs people, things and situations in a way that is playful and emotional. He uses Instagram to document his life. We see photo sessions, the people he meets on his travels, and his life with family and friends. It’s a small, fun pleasure to follow day to day.
“Three years ago when I was in Los Angeles, a friend installed Instagram on my iPhone and told me, ‘This will be the perfect way to keep up with us and our children. You’ll see, it’s a lot more fun than Facebook.’
A year and a half later, back in Los Angeles with the same friend, I used the application for the first time, first in private, then in public, and always with my iPhone. Suddenly it became the obvious way to share a diary with my friends. A few months later, during an agency presentation with a client, the creative director presented my work and spoke about ‘Instagram chroma.’
Since then, I’ve used some other cameras, which I always have with me, and I post 24 hours after, the time it takes to develop, and I no longer use the Instagram filters.

After studying modern history, Arnaud Pyvka began a multi-faceted career in photography, cinema and art direction. Co-creator of the magazine DOUBLE in 1999, he served as its creative director, then editor-in-chief, and today he is the co-publisher.
An acclaimed fashion photographer (Berluti, Bergdorf Goodman, Play Station, Sthill, Samsung, Eurostar, Nestlé, Céline, SNCF, Bonpoint, Joes’s Jeans, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Diane Von Furstenberg), Pyvka is also the art director for brands like Toyota, Giorgio Armani Perfumes, Samsung, Levis, Martin Margiela runway shows, and for exhibitions.
