The Transfotografia opened in Poland on October 20. Created in 2006 by Olivier Spillebout, Director of the Transphotographiques Festival of Lille, this Polish Festival aims to display the works of young French photographers throughout the country, including exhibitions in Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.
For this sixth edition, the festival is presenting 7 French photographers and a Polish artist in Gdansk and Soppot. All of the French photographers presented here participated in this year’s 10th anniversary edition of the Lille Festival featuring The North.
The black and white pictures of Hervé Dorval’s “Les mutations du paysage” series, presented at the Lille Tri Postal, are at the Gdansk Galeria Pionova. Works by Antoine Bruy, Kpoon Dubus, Marie-Josée Roy, Claire Schneider, Julien Legrand et Vincent Mayes, presented at the Palais Rameau during “Nord[s] : regards croisés”, will be displayed at the Galeria Pionova, Galeria Zpap, Stocznia Gdanska of Gdansk and at Zatoka Sztuki in Sopot.
Polish photographer, Michał Szlaga, is showing his series “Une histoire photographique des chantiers navals” at the Galeria PiTiPa in Gdansk.
